Infotainment and Displays
The big screen is standard, and the second one is the SX step.
Every trim carries a 12.3-inch audio display with navigation running Kia's Connected Car Navigation Cockpit, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM and Bluetooth. The LX and S pair it with a 4.2-inch colour TFT-LCD driver cluster and an eight-speaker sound system. From the SX upward the car carries dual 12.3-inch panoramic displays, so the driver's instruments and the centre screen match, and a Meridian premium surround system with 14 speakers including a subwoofer and an external amplifier. The Prestige trims add a 12.0-inch head-up display projected onto the windscreen.

Highway Driving Assistant
Two versions of Kia's highway system, split at the SX.
Highway Driving Assist 1.5 is standard on the LX, S, EX and X-Line EX. It works with Smart Cruise Control and stop and go, which is the combination that takes the effort out of a slow crawl on I-78 east toward the Lehigh Valley. From the SX upward the car runs Highway Driving Assist 2.0, which is the more capable version and pairs with the Blind-Spot View Monitor and the Surround View Monitor. On a vehicle 199.2 inches long, those two cameras change lane changes and parking more than any other feature on the list.
Standard Driver Assistance
Six systems and ten airbags come on every trim, including the entry LX.
Forward Collision Warning, High Beam Assist, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Safe Exit Assist, Rear Occupant Alert with radar sensors and Smart Cruise Control with stop and go are fitted to all ten gas trims and all five hybrids. The airbag count is ten, including a front-row centre airbag between the driver and front passenger, which is new to this generation. Safe Exit Assist is the one Reading and Allentown parents notice first: it warns when a door is about to open into approaching traffic, which matters on a school run as much as on a city street.
Available Driver Assistance
The SX step adds the cameras and the higher-tier collision systems.
| System | Starts on | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Highway Driving Assist 1.5 | LX, standard | Lane centring and distance keeping on the highway |
| Highway Driving Assist 2.0 | SX | The higher-tier version of the same system |
| Blind-Spot View Monitor | SX | Live camera feed of the blind spot in the cluster |
| Surround View Monitor | SX | Overhead composite view for parking |
| Ground View Monitor | X-Pro SX | Composite view under the vehicle below 6 mph |
| Terrain Mode | X-Line EX, AWD only | Snow, mud and sand settings |
Availability by Trim
Three groupings cover the whole range.
The LX, S, EX and X-Line EX share the 4.2-inch cluster, eight-speaker audio and Highway Driving Assist 1.5. The SX, X-Line SX and X-Pro SX add the dual 12.3-inch displays, Meridian audio, heated and ventilated front seats, Highway Driving Assist 2.0, the Blind-Spot View Monitor and the Surround View Monitor. The three Prestige trims add the 12.0-inch head-up display and heated and ventilated second-row seats on top of that. The hybrid follows the same pattern within its five trims, starting at EX and topping out at X-Line SX Prestige.
The Technology You Want, and Where to Find It
Most buyers need one of three things, and each has a clear stopping point on the range.
If the priority is phone integration and navigation, the LX already has it and nothing above adds a better screen at the centre stack. If the priority is seeing out of a long vehicle in a tight lot in downtown Reading or on a narrow street in Lebanon, the SX is the trim to reach, because that is where the Blind-Spot View Monitor and the Surround View Monitor arrive. If the priority is the head-up display, that means a Prestige trim. Everything below those points is already covered by standard equipment.
