4 Kia models make Eco-Friendly Kelley Blue Book lists

Kia is known for value and efficiency, so it’s no surprise that four vehicles from the South Korean manufacturer have made a Kelley Blue Book Editor’s List of “Eco-Friendly” auto options.

KBB.com concludes the Kia models are “Stellar on Fuel Economy at Affordable Prices” meaning they provide high quality performance at a surprisingly reasonable price point. Read on to find out what made the list and why.

2017 Kia Niro

The 2017 Niro appears on the “10 Best Hybrid Cars Under $40,000” list with an estimated EPA of 52 mps city and 49 mpg highway and a starting price of $22,890.

 

2017 Optima Hybrid

The 2017 Optima was also named one of the “10 Best Hybrid Cars Under $40,000”, featuring a combined 42 mpg and a starting price of $25,995.

 

2017 Optima PHEV

At a starting price of $35,210, with an estimated 29 miles of electric range, the Optima’s plug-in cousin is one of KBB’s “5 Best Plug-In Hybrid Cars Under $40,000”.

 

2017 Kia Soul

Finally, the 2017 Kia Soul was awarded one of the “5 Best Electric Cars Under $40,000”.

Kia’s commitment to offering several hybrid and electric options at affordable prices demonstrates that the company takes environmental responsibility very seriously.  According to Orth Hedrick, Vice President of Product Planning, Kia hopes to increase electrification and improve overall fuel economy by 2020.
